In 2016, Crea Thera started in Belgium with the Music Home pilot project. The focus was on empowering refugees by making music together in 3 West Flemish reception centers.

The success of Music Home led to a three-year follow-up project Beats, Words & Moves (2017-2019) in various reception centers, primary schools and secondary OKAN classes in Bruges, Staden, Poelkapelle, Beernem and Wingene.

Goal: empowerment and connection by making music together.

The Flight project started in 2019. Music theater in 4 colored primary schools in Ostend and Bruges around the flight story of schoolmates.

​

From the end of 2021, reception centers of Fedasil and the Red Cross themselves called on workshop sessions from Crea Thera for children and young people.

​

Since 2022 Crea Thera has been providing music therapeutic workshops every two weeks

• in Klein Kasteeltje center in Brussels (emergency center) - for adults and unaccompanied minors

​

• at the Fedasil reception center in Poelkapelle - for children and unaccompanied minors

​

• in the emergency reception center of the Red Cross in Sijsele - for children and adults (until June 2023)
